Either 4 or 5 Star Hotels, under £250, and in the city centre?
Have a look at The Radisson Edwardian on Leicester Square. I dont have experience of that one but I know the one in Manchester is very highly regarded- I saw a group of Manchester United players in the bar there once.
Looks to be around £200-240 a night and there are other branches in London too- depends what you want to be near.
