Secrets of Queensland, Gold Coast

Queensland's Gold Coast is located in the southeast corner of Queensland in an hour's drive from Brisbane. Also known Surfers Paradise and the Gold Coast has become one of the largest cities in the region of Australia and offers something for everyone.

Of course, theme parks still offers a lot of fun for kids and surfing beaches to cater for families. And do not forget Whale Watching!

Gold Coast International Airport has flights to New Zealand and some Asian destinations. The domestic airport flies to major destinations in Australia.

The best beaches of the Gold Coast

Surfers Paradise
Close to everything is the best way to describe Surfers Paradise. Do not worry about the crowds, although it is a 3 km of beach to share! This beach has all the amenities and shops and can hire surfboards and body, or even get a surf lesson.

A word of warning though to avoid Surfers Paradise in December. This is where all school leavers in Queensland and New South Wales visit. Better to wait until they go.

Broadbeach

Kurrawa Beach at Broadbeach is a real family favorite. Get the footy or Frisbee and get all towels for fun. Kurrawa is known to be a little unpredictable in order to verify the Surf Life Savers board when you get there. There are plenty of places with shade and fantastic playground equipment for children. Kurrawa beach walk to shops and Broadbeach accommodation makes an excellent base for exploring the rest of the Coast Golden.

Snapper Rocks

Once known as a major fishing spot Snapper Rocks is now famous for being one of the best beaches Surfing Australia. Snapper Rocks is not patrolled so swimming is not really appropriate. If you love getting in the forum, but Pargo is for you.

Main Beach

Despite its name, Main Beach at the northern end of the Gold Coast is, in fact, one of the quieter beaches. This makes the main beach ideal for families. It does not attract the crowds, like the other beaches, Main Beach has all the amenities, including playground equipment and barbecue. Why not have lunch at the Surf Club in Southport. Given its proximity to all theme parks Main Beach is a perfect place to go to after visiting places like Seaworld, which is nearby.

Rainbow Bay

My favorite! Between Snapper Rocks and Greenmount Hill is the magical Rainbow Bay. This beach really has something for everyone. Popular Surfers are a lot of space for families that extend out as well. Be sure to take the walk from the beach and gazebo Cerro Greemount danger point. There magnificent views of the coast and Surfers Paradise.

Theme Parks

The Gold Coast is home to theme parks best known in Australia. Here's a sample:

Dreamworld

Once a meek and humble theme park for children Dreamworld is now home for adrenaline junkies. Attractions such as The Claw, Tower of Terror and the big drop that Dreamworld a favorite for older children. To Not to be outdone, though there Wiggleworld and Nickelodeon Central children.

SeaWorld

This is my favorite of all the theme parks of Gold Coast. Check out all types of marine life, water sample, 4-d movies and long walks. The main attraction at the moment though, Australia's only polar Bears Liya and Nelson.

Australia Outback Spectacular

The Australia Outback Spectacular has become one of the most popular attractions of the Costa Dorada. This is a great family night out and a chance to learn something about the tradition of our country and culture. There are numerous animals entering the field and show can be very interactive. A three-course meal and a hat with large livestock keeping is more than worth the money.
