Flights To Melbourne
Does anyone know if the tax imposed on domestic flights (Melbourne – Tasmania or Melbourne to Sydney?

I'm about to book a flight to melb to TAS n sid, I wonder if the tax applies to domestic flights

When quoted a price in Australia, by law must have all fees and taxes. There is a 10% Goods and Services Tax at the most fuel levies, airport taxes, etc. The VAT applies to taxes and charges as well. The price of Rates include all charges so if you get a special low price that usually get a real bargain. If you use frequent flyer points, you still have to pay taxes. I flew Jetstar in Ballina to Sydney and Qantas from Sydney to Adelaide and return on frequent flyer points and it cost me $ 168 in taxes and fees. That was $ 153 in taxes and charges $ 15.30 plus GST. It is a bit much when you charge a tax on tax, and then again. Nevertheless, whatever the price quoted for the ticket is all you have to pay, and which must include taxes.
